Grounded in Science

Tic Treatment Grounded in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT)

CBIT is a first-line, evidence-based behavioral treatment for tic disorders, including Tourette Syndrome. Built on decades of clinical research, CBIT focuses on increasing awareness of tics, identifying environmental influences, and using competing response training to reduce tic frequency and impact. It is recommended by major medical organizations and widely recognized as an effective non-pharmacological intervention.

Mental and Behavioral Health Care Grounded in Ecological Systems Theory (EST) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Care is guided by Ecological Systems Theory (EST), recognizing that emotional and behavioral health is shaped by the many systems people move through every day, including family, school, work, medical care, and relationships. Treatment is also rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a well-established, evidence-based approach that examines the relationship between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. EST and CBT together provide structured, skill-based strategies to address anxiety, mood, behavioral concerns, and adjustment to medical or life stressors, with a strong focus on improving real-world functioning.

Education and Workplace Consultation Grounded in School Psychology and Special Education Law Expertise

Consultation is informed by specialized training as a school psychologist and deep expertise in educational systems, special education law, and accommodation planning, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and workplace access support. This ensures recommendations are not only clinically appropriate, but also legally sound, actionable, and aligned with the rights, protections, and supports available across school, college, and workplace settings.

Grown to Bloom

Why Bloom?

On the Work of Becoming

BloomWorks began in the garden.

As an avid gardener, I have always been drawn to the quiet, steady work of tending something over time. Soil is prepared, seeds are sown, and placement, light, and timing are considered. Sometimes, even with the best preparation, weather shifts, climate changes, and seedlings never emerge. This is part of gardening. The seasons of sowing and growth, life and death, sunshine and storms, mark the rhythm of the plant cycle. So much of what matters happens beneath the surface, long before anything is visible.

And, when the conditions are right,

it blooms.

A visible expression of the quiet, steady work that has remained unseen.

Yet.

A bloom is not the end of the plant cycle. Energy from the bloom returns to the plant. What was once expressed outward is drawn back inward, to the roots, the structure, and the system. Growth does not end with the bloom. It deepens because of it.

And then, the quiet, steady process begins again.

This is the work of becoming.
